How many friends and family can I refer?
You can refer as many friends and family as you like! You can visit our Advantage Referral page as often as you'd like to add more friends and family to refer. Or simply share via your social feed on Facebook or Twitter – that way, other contacts you know may see your referral mention as well.
How will my friend know I referred them?
If you know your friend or family member's email address and indicate that on our Advantage Referral page, they'll receive an email from Advia inviting them to open a new account with Advia (and letting them know that you referred them to do so). Then they can simply click on the referral redemption link to get started.
For security purposes, we recommend you tell your friends that you've referred them. Your friend should confirm that the email they receive is coming from Advia Credit Union at firstname.lastname@example.org on behalf of email@example.com. If they prefer not to click on the link in the email, they may come to any Advia branch location, or call us at 844.238.4228 during normal business hours and we'll provide them their referral code (must be tied to an email address already provided).
Is the referral code email secure to submit personal information?
We take member identity and data security seriously. On our Advantage Referral program email links or online pages, we will ONLY ask for the following information: Name, Email Address, and Phone Number. We will NEVER contact you to ask for personal information such as social security number, driver's license number, account number, or other personal financial data.
What if the person I refer forgets to bring in their referral certificate when they open their new account at Advia?
Your friend will want to let us know that you referred them. We will be able to look up their email address to provide their referral certificate code; in some cases, we may ask you to submit another referral certificate to them (if they cannot locate their original referral certificate or did not redeem the certificate from a social media post).
Can I refer friends and family on Facebook and Twitter?
Yes, you can refer friends and family on Facebook and Twitter. Visit our Advantage Referral page and complete your information requested (name, phone, and email). Please make sure that this information matches what's on our member account systems. Then, click on the “Submit” button – you'll then see links to share on your Facebook or Twitter account.
How will I know if my referral was successful?
If the friend or family member you referred obtains any one of our qualifying Advantage relationships within three (3) months of their new account, you'll both qualify for the incentive. You'll see a deposit of up to $200 into your Primary Share Savings within forty-five (45) days of qualifications being met.
How will I receive my referral incentive?
Your referral incentive will be placed into your Primary Share Savings account within forty-five (45) days of when your referred friend or family member qualifies for any of our Advantage Relationships within their first three (3) months of membership (see program page for current details).
My friend said they met Advantage Relationship qualifications, but we haven't received our referral incentive yet. What do I do?
If it's been more than forty-five (45) days since your friend met qualifications of any of our Advantage Relationships, and you haven't received your referral incentive, please contact us at 844.238.4228 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org so we may help resolve this for you.
