Want to add MBP to an existing vehicle?

Give us a call and we can help you get that added.1

With Mechanical Breakdown Protection, we have you covered.

MBP, powered by Route 66, covers repairs to your vehicle’s major systems, such as its engine or transmission, all from an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified shop. While it’s similar to a manufacturer’s extended warranty, it may be available on more vehicles and provide additional coverage for more systems. This type of protection can be purchased on top of a manufacturer’s extended warranty or in place of the extended warranty, if the vehicle is not covered.1

MBP Coverage Includes:

  • Engine
  • Drive axle assembly
  • Automatic and standard transmission
  • Brakes
  • Seals and gaskets
  • Fuel delivery
  • Exhaust
  • Power system
  • Steering
  • Some plans include air conditioning and electronics

MBP Coverage Excludes:

  • Tires, wheels, struts
  • Brake shoes or pads, rotors, drums, belts, hoses
  • Filters, fluids, lubricants
  • Clutch, pressure plate

MBP makes your ride even smoother.

24/7/365 Emergency Roadside Assistance

Coverage provides flat tire assistance, fuel delivery, jumpstart service, lockout service, towing, trip interruption, and minor adjustments.

Rental Car Allowance

The vehicle needs to be in shop for at least 4 hours to qualify. Paid directly from Route 66 to the mechanic.

Trip Interruption

If a covered vehicle is in need of repairs more than 100 miles away and must be left overnight, Route 66 will reimburse up to $125/night for 3 nights maximum or $375 to help subsidize the cost of hotel/meals in a frustrating time.

Battery Coverage

Battery replacement or repair is covered on some plans.

Total Loss Refund

If a vehicle is totaled, Route 66 will refund the entire MBP cost, regardless if there were any claims during the plan.3

Zero Dollar Deductible

All plans have this option.

Transferable

If a covered vehicle is being sold, the MBP powered by Route 66 can transfer over at an additional cost.

Mechanical Breakdown Protection FAQs.

Absolutely, you can transfer the vehicle service contract to another private purchaser of your vehicle. Vehicles with service contracts typically offer much higher resale values because the buyer knows they are not going to get hit with huge repair costs.

If your insurance company has deemed your vehicle a total loss as the result of an accident, Route 66 will refund the entire premium back to them or the financial institution on your behalf if you have purchased the Total Loss Refund option. Some restrictions apply. Contact Route 66 for eligibility information at 800.808.0828 or claims@route66warranty.com.

Our contract contains full details on our refund provisions. You have 30 days after purchase to obtain a full refund. After that, you are entitled to a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your contract. Unlike some companies, we do not pro-rate your refund from the in-service date of your vehicle.

You may cancel the agreement by submitting a written request to Route 66, mailed to PO Box 1075, Mountain Home, AR 72654 or emailed to cancels@route66warranty.com. Include agreement number, reason for cancellation, and a notarized statement indicating mileage of the vehicle at the time of cancellation.

Plans vary depending on the vehicle year and mileage. Please chat with a live agent, give us a call at 844.238.4228, or visit any Advia branch location to get a quote on your vehicle.
