Advia Credit Union is proud to commit $40,000 in scholarships for 2024.
Headquartered in Oshtemo, MI, the financial institution is now accepting applications for the Youth Scholarship Program until March 16, 2024, and the Cheryl A. DeBoer Soar Higher Award until March 31, 2024. The scholarships include:
- $30,000, offered as $1,000 scholarships, through the Youth Scholarship Program for high school seniors demonstrating academic excellence, leadership, and community commitment. Eligible applicants must have an open Advia Credit Union account in their name before the application deadline and be set to graduate in 2024.
- $10,000 in total, distributed as $5,000 per recipient, through the Cheryl A. DeBoer Soar Higher Award for current Western Michigan University's College of Aviation students or those recently accepted into the program.
Notably, the Soar Higher Award was introduced last year in honor of Advia’s former President & CEO Cheryl DeBoer, who retired in 2022 after over 18 years with Advia and 40 years in the credit union industry. This award celebrates DeBoer's passion for aviation and her distinguished credit union career.
