Advia Foundation to donate $100 to Habitat for Humanity for every mortgage application received April 1 – June 30 in the area

As we prepare for a busy home buyers’ season this spring, we are also taking the opportunity to partner with Habitat for Humanity to help families in our local communities build their stories of hope and pursue their dreams through home ownership. Because we believe that a safe, healthy and affordable place to live helps build stronger families, the Advia Foundation is donating $100 to Habitat for Humanity for every new mortgage application received from April 1 – June 30, 2017.

We have 26 branches in Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois and have plans to support the Habitat organizations in each of our regions because we know that families in need of affordable housing live everywhere. As spring is typically a popular month for new home sales, we are estimating the total donation to be up to $25,000 which will be distributed to Habitat organizations in Southwest Michigan, Eastern Michigan, South Central Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Our partner Habitat organizations include:

Southwest Michigan:
Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity
Kalamazoo, MI  49048

Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity
Battle Creek, MI 49017

Eastern Michigan:
Blue Water Habitat for Humanity
Port Huron, MI 48061

Wisconsin/Illinois:
Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County
Waukesha, WI 53186

Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity
Loves Park, IL  61111

All Hands on Deck!
At Advia we are committed to advancing lives and our remarkable Advia team works hard to live our mission of providing financial advantages to our members and our communities. In the days ahead you will find our staff swinging hammers and pouring driveways as they support the cause by volunteering at Habitat build sites in all our credit union regions. Because we are passionate about making lasting change in our communities, we encourage our staff to volunteer through an Advia ACTION Volunteer Program that pays them to take up to 24 hours away from work each year to volunteer with a charity of their choosing.

Our Advia Team Hard at Work
Advia staff rolled up their sleeves and got dirty while helping to build Kalamazoo’s first legally permitted tiny house in 2016. Our staff were excited to help with this project as the new homeowner, Ben Brown, is an environmentalist who seeks to live as simply and affordably as possible.
